I am about to subscribe to XM Satellite Radio. I started listening to the Ron and Fez show because they were on the same station as the Dog House in NY. Since then, I’ve become a fan. Since the DH is just plain off the air, I’ve decided to subscribe to XM to tune into the Ron and Fez show.

Those guys are just hilarious. They can make a topic out of anything and get some funny callers immediately. I just hope that I get decent reception, as my apartment is in the first floor.

I am seriously considering the purchase of XM Satellite Radio. After the Dog House was fired from 92.3 Free FM, in NY, I had become an avid Ron and Fez listener. A few days ago WFNY changed format and Ron & Fez are no longer on the air aside from XM. Because of this, I am seriously considering the purchase of an XM Satellite Radio.

In the meantime, the Dog House Army is pleased to announce Army Radio. This will be an Internet Talk Radio station. Although all of the shows have been influenced by the Dog House, none will attempt to be clones as this will be all original content. Launch date is May 18th, 2007.

I finally decided to get a site up and running for the Dog House Army. This is now up and running on http://www.thedoghousearmy.com/. I got the basic infrastructure up and running and now Big Daddy Matt and Mr. Goodbar are running it day to day.

Currently the Army is rallying the troops to fight a Pro-Imus campaign, because in a post-Imus world a show like The Dog House has no future. . .

I stopped by the Circuit City in Glendale and noticed that they advertise the HDTV’s in two fashions (720p & 1080p). Every model I cross referenced online that were labeled 720p were also capable of 1080i. I think it’s fairly obvious that this is a marketing scheme to make the 1080p screens look 360p better in peoples minds. Forget the fact that there are no native 1080p broadcasts. . .

Word to the wise, do your own research before spending a ton of money on an HDTV. Do not rely on commission based sales people.

Since Amazon gave every user a $15 credit for Unbox + TiVo, I thought I’d give it a shot. My final verdict is a solid not bad. The quality of the downloaded video is just sub-DVD quality. All of the videos I tested were in 4:3 native aspect ratio w/ black bars on top and bottom for a total 16:9 aspect ratio. I just used the “Aspect” button on my Series 3 to resize this fill my entire screen.

As I have a Series 3 TiVo w/ CableCARDs, I have no PPV available to me. The Amazon+Unbox appears to fill that niche okay. With a 5 Mbps connection from Charter, it takes just a little over to download the full movie.
